"taking that first step out of bed on winter mornings"

    Yep. That sucks.

    Did Carolina make the play-offs?

  3. Hi Don, I am so with you on the NFL playoffs and attending New Orleans Saints football games. My husband and I are huge football fans and have attended several Saints game here in Georgia. For me, it's a little bittersweet that the playoffs are upon us bacause that means the season will be over soon! I won't know what to do with my time on game days. :)

NFL is about to GET REAL Though... Hopefully YOUR Saints and MY Pats will meet in the Super Bowl Though (WE Can dream Right ?!!?)

Bruh Obama have really DISAPPOINTED ME Severely and I'm NOT A Koolaid-Drinker Either but I NEVER would've thought he would do SO MANY UNETHICAL THINGS while in office though SMDH

And that BMF Reality show ideal is just Too F-ing MUCH -- IMO

  6. It IS kind of a bummer that we aren't guaranteed tomorrow. Because of that I think it's so important to really make the most out of every minute we're here. Cliche, yes, but true nonetheless. Happy 2012!

  7. Nice compilation you got here. I'd have to agree with you on that flick of Ms. Moses. Second, it's nice to look back and see Bey and Jay before they were "officially" romantically-involved with each other. It was nice to hear the song again, too :)

I was a little bummed, too when I read that Obama signed the NDAA. I'm sure he disagreed with it personally, but he was probably under A LOT of governmental and political pressure.

  8. Tedra Moses! Nuff said! LoL

I like attending NFL games whenever I can. It is truly a great experience.

BMF? Wow. Don't we have enough reality shows already?

  9. Black mafia Wives? Do we really need that? Ugh! I don't even watch the white wives. My toes were pretty frigid for these past few days. High fashion, puhlease. I need a high income with a matching high bank account.

  10. I <3 Teedra Moses, She's from New Orleans, and I have been waiting like 8 years for another album....Hoping Rick Ross allows her to do something since he did sign her 2011 !!!!!

  11. I have to admit that I hate the playoff because it means football is almost over. I am not much a bball fan so its just kind of a slow death. There is nothing like actually being at a football and the roar of the stadium. good times.

I love that song OUR LOVE - no they dont make love music anymore. Its rare that you find an artist with real passion. Thank goodness for Jill Scott.

BOOOOO for "reality" tv and all of the "wives" especially since most of them are not even wives. I cannot appreciate that coonery of the black mafia wives - really.

btw, how does Patron leave you feeling?

  12. Whaaat, how can you NOT like high fashion??? LOL.

Somewhere there is a video of my auntie singing Our Love at a house party we had years ago...hearing the song brought back happy memories.

I too love that the playoffs are here. Of course I would love it more had my Raiders won last week.

I read and explained Revelation 13 to a co-worker today - the mark of the beast; but your verse is much more hopeful.

Crooked officers & the National Defense Authorization Act = Police state #NOBUENO Democracy is degraded gradually by eroding the checks and balances of the State, IJS.

Patron has to go in both the like and dislike columns for me. It's so good going down, but the smooth taste sneaks up on you. Somewhere there is a video of me deeply influenced by Patron...

We can only live one day at a time because tomorow isn't promised.

Excellent post, but I expect nothing less from you sir!

  13. I like that clip of them too.

    Tequila is disgusting.... yuk.

Chris Brown... I like the little fella.

When I clicked on the Natalie Cole link, I thought it was Richard Smallwood's "Thank You" - one of my FAVORITE gospel songs. OMG..... http://youtu.be/bF87TPplBsM
    The intro's are similar.

  15. Yea, I'm with ya on these. Cold toes are only good if I'm rubbing mine on someone else's warm leg and make them jump. LOL

  16. I dig the Chris Brown "Teach Me How to Dougie" as well. lol

Happy New Year Don :-) Blessings!

  17. As usual I love your blog! And I still don't know how to dougie. I don't think I could learn if Jesus taught me himself. And what's behind the Mafia wives thing isn't that illegal same as MOB wives? I don't get it. Maybe some day I'll be on twitter wives Lol

    Go

  20. Sir! Do not dislike high fashion! It makes us happy, feel pretty and love you more LOL! :)

Can I just say Patron is the devil's poison and I don't know why I ever drank it.

  21. @GP: It costs way too much, but I guess it does keep a woman loving a man. Patron is the truth. Lol.

@simplychic I promise myself to take it one day at a time this year. And promise to keep reminding myself whenever I feel like I'm not taking my own advice. You're welcome. I love your blog.

    @sunny: Thank you.

@SincerelyGo Twitter Wives. Too funny. I don't know what anyone had in mind proposing a BMF Wives reality show. Thanks for the kind words. How is that you don't know how to Dougie?

@B-More BAP Happy 2012 to you as well, Autumn. Chris Brown had those young girls screaming as he danced.

@Petula: You speak the truth and I wholeheartedly agree. Toes aren't made to be cold.

@HisDaughter83: It was nostalgic watching Solange, Beyonce and Jay Z before each became superstars. Interestingly enough, Jay Z dated co-host Free, which explains Beyonce's non-hug.

    You're welcome. Good post.

  22. @DStinyAugust The song Our Love is one of the best songs I've ever heard. Timeless treasure. Patron definitely sneaks upon unknowing participants. Lol. But it's good though. Thanks for the kind words.

@Freckles Agreed - the deafening sounds of a live pro football crowd, especially in the Superdome, is something one always remembers. Patron leaves me feeling somewhat invincible.

@Denise I haven't heard too many of Teedra's songs, but I liked the few that I did hear. She is very talented and I had no idea that she was from New Orleans.

@Brooklynite High income, matching bank account. The truth. Clothes end up being out of style before you know. Savings accounts never get old.

@12kyle Isn't that one of the hottest images, ever. Just so sexy and seductive. As we both know, home field advantage really is what it says. A roaring crowd gets the adrenaline flowing for both athletes and fans.

@Janelle I cram to understand what exactly Obama had in mind signing such an inhumane law, it seems. Like you stated, he probably suffered political pressure, but still.

@Marissa Yes. I believe if everyone stopped long enough and reflected upon the fact that we aren't promised tomorrow ... people would become more passionate and compassionate towards the Gift of Life.

@ELove As much as I appreciate barack Obama and support his presidency I too dislike some of the unethical things he's allowed under his watch. Kinda shocking, cause Obama appears to be a totally different politician, at times. saints are involved in a bloodbath in San Francisco, as we speak.

    @Keith You speak the truth.

@SpeakingofReality Same here. I wish I could attend every single saints football and shiver at the thought that pro football season is almost over.

@FSB oh I appreciate you as well. A really good-hearted woman and human being is always appreciated. Possibilities await us all.

@Valentina Carolina didn't come close to making the playoffs, the team is rebuilding and in a few years should be a perennial playoff contender under the guidance of Cam Newton. But that's "King B" though! Lol.

@daij Teedra is the truth. Ain't no other way around it.

  23. "proposed Black Mafia Family wives reality TV show"...I wonder WHY, myself on this. Makes no sense. I guess with Mob Wives doing so well in the ratings game, they figure why the hell not. I sincerely hope they reconsider.

"high fashion, where all her money goes". I agree. I've seen women care more about fashion than anything else - when we all know there are more pressing issues in the day/life of a woman. It's more than okay to look nice, but to the point of breaking oneself? I think not.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @PerriForest I couldn't have said it better myself. I believe I'm more of the type to focus on a woman's inner being rather than how she's clothed. Don't get me wrong I love a nicely dressed woman, but not to the point where it involving Past Due notices on utility bills and such.

  25. I like that picture too. So soft and sensual. I'll check out Ancient Proverbs, I trust the people you follow. Ok, I'm not going through your whole list of likes by leaving a comment, just know I like your list!

The dislikes are intriguing as well, another in-site into who Don is :-)
