Old School Soul track of the week: Like This And Like That

Since this is the second time I have posted a song from Monica's debut album Miss Thang as the old school soul track of the week, it should serve as an indication on just how classic the album tracks really are. In '95, the then-15 year old r & b songstress had the game on lock with her beautiful voice, mad swagger and fresh and hip look. I have always referred to Monica as the firstborn child of hip hop and soul music.

This was one of those CDs that you could just let play track to track to track. In fact, I remember when it came out, she automatically replaced Brandy in my little 5-CD player stereo (don't act like y'all don't remember those things... LOL)

This was my song! Matter of fact, it's still my song, especially now that I can relate to what she's saying.

What a great CD! I agree with Gwyneth, it's one that you listen to wall-to-wall, no skipping required.

Thanks for some great memories.
